Happy Halloween Cookie Bouquet

We are adding yet another item to our menu: Cookie Bouquets!  Just like with my cookies, they will be priced out on an individual basis depending on the detail and number of cookies in the bouquet.  As a rough pricing guideline, the prices for the bouquets will start at the following prices:
  • 3 cookie bouquet -   $10
  • 4 cookie bouquet -   $15
  • 6 cookie bouquet -   $20
  • 9 cookie bouquet -   $30
  • 12 cookie bouquet - $40
For Halloween, I made a simple 3 cookie bouquet that I actually used as a display at the MOPS Market this past Saturday.  I splurged a little on the burlap box at Hobby Lobby, but it was so perfect, I couldn't resist.

Have a very Happy Halloween, everyone!

Happy Fall Cookies

I am extremely grateful for the expansion in the Cottage Food Law that I can now have the opportunity to participate in Markets and Fairs like the MOPS Holiday Market that I had a booth at this past Saturday.

Because it was my first event of this nature, I had no idea what to expect or how much product to make.  I decided to make some cute fall cookies that would hopefully appeal to both kids and adults at the event.

This little guy was my best seller and a hit with the kiddos.  They sold out when the fair was only halfway over!

Overall, my first fair was a big success and so much fun.  Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support me and buy a cookie- I appreciate each and every one of you!

Tasting Party and New Flavors!

I have been playing around with new flavors for a few weeks now, but between myself (ever the sweet-tooth and enjoy anything where sugar is a primary ingredient) and my husband Kevin (not picky at all and once ate chicken I made that turned out purple), I just wasn't confident if the cookies were ready for selling.  Because of this, I had a few friends over to test out some new flavors for me.

The set-up: I felt like I had died and gone to cookie heaven!

Thanks to the wonderful feedback from the lovely ladies that came over, I am happy to announce that our menu has greatly expanded!  I have gone from two flavors (vanilla and chocolate) to seven!  I also added two new icing flavors to my traditional icing.

Now you must be asking yourself, what are the new cookies?!  Don't worry, I'm not going to leave you in suspense.  Below you will find pictures of all the new cookies.  If you want further details on the new flavors, head over to the "Flavors" tab from the home screen.

I am beyond excited to officially debut these new flavors!  Hope you get a chance to order some soon!

Breast Cancer Awareness Cookies

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Some months that are dedicated to raise awareness of little known diseases or conditions (see my blogs on Autism Awareness and Williams Syndrome Awareness).  However, almost everyone is aware of breast cancer, so why does it have a month dedicated to it?

From the National Breast Cancer Foundation website: "While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same."

"Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women in the United States. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival."

Because of this startling statistic, breast cancer is a disease that affects almost all Americans, my family included.  October is a time to not only "support the fighters, admire the survivors, and honor the taken," but also to do what you can to help end this disease once and for all.

"Think Pink" this month, whether that is raising awareness in your own way, participating in a race/walk, donating your money or time to the cause, or whatever way you can!  If we all work together, believe that a time will come when we have a cure for breast cancer.

Chalkboard Baby Shower Cookies

I wanted an excuse to make painted cookies ever since I made my peacock cookies, and thanks to my friend Krista, I had that opportunity. You may remember Krista from the birthday set that I made for her where she gave me free rein to create whatever I wanted.  I loved this artistic freedom and she trusted me to do this again!

Krista helped host a baby shower and being the wonderful friend she is, she wanted cookies in lieu of a cake.  Krista's only request for the cookies was that they echoed the invitation.  The invites (seen here-) had a chalkboard feel to them, which gave me my reason to paint!  In addition to loving the invitations, I had the sweet baby girl's name to work with and that made these cookies a lot of fun.

The invitations also included this insert and I copied its design for the cookie below that featured the baby-to-be's name.

Krista, thank you so much for ordering and once again giving me the opportunity to stretch my artistic side!
