Happy Valentine's Day!

I had my first ever giveaway back in August.  I was so excited to not only reach 400 likes on Facebook, but 500, that I decided to have two winners.  Melinda was winner number 1 and she ordered the "Let it snow" cookies back in December.  Sally is lucky winner number 2, and she requested Valentine's Day cookies.

Sally and her husband Lee are high school sweethearts and the parents of two adorable little girls, Abigail and Jenna.  I decided to use two shades of pink and then sanding sugar to add some extra detail to the cookies.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Patriotic Wedding Shower Cookies

Since it's still Fourth of July weekend, it's still acceptable to do a patriotic themed post, right?!  Well, either way, it is happening.

A very special bride-to-be had her wedding shower yesterday and since it was happening on the Fourth of July weekend, we did her wedding shower cookies with the holiday in mind.  On the cookies, we included the monogram "EIE" for the bride and the groom's initials.

I basically added a sanding sugar wherever I could to give the cookies some extra sparkle for such a special occasion.  The stars have a sanding sugar border, the monogram is covered in it and the stripes of the flag are as well.  If ever there was a cookie I made that I wanted to eat, this was the one!

A big congratulations to the happy couple!  I hope everyone had a safe, fun, and festive Fourth of July weekend!

Happy Baptism Day, Wes: Baptism Cookies

We have been blessed to make some pretty great friends here in San Antonio.  I met Erin through my play group that I joined in those early months of motherhood when you are desperate for adult interaction.  She has since become one of my closest friends here and our husbands have hit it off as well, which is a HUGE added bonus!

Erin and her husband PJ have an adorable son named Wesley.  He is such a little ham and he cracks me up with how animated he is.  My favorite thing he does has to be when he gives his plastic dinosaur a drink by dipping his head in the water and smacking his lips.  You really have to see it- it is too cute!

Wes got baptized today and Erin wanted cookies to celebrate the big day.  We searched through Pinterest, Etsy, and Flickr for inspiration and finally settled on crosses and monogram cookies.

Congratulations on this big day, Wes!  We feel so blessed and honored to have joined in the celebration!
