Since I've started up this cookie venture, it seems like every major milestone that happens in our life now has to be celebrated with cookies! And finding out the gender of our precious baby was no exception.
Ever since I saw this idea on Sweet Sugarbelle's blog, I knew I would want to do it when it came time for us to have another baby. I was going to show you the step-by-step process to the cookies, but she created such a wonderful tutorial, I thought, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Looking at these cookies, you wouldn't know that hidden inside is either pink or blue dough to reveal the gender. Isn't that just a genius idea?! The exterior design is my original idea (I've become a bit obsessed with silhouette cookies as you can see here and here), and I actually hand-painted the cookies as well. Not because I was going for a certain effect, but honestly I was being lazy and didn't want to make any black icing.
